Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are getting more powerful. They pass our tests on cleaning and can take care of different floors. Select models that allow users to select between different modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
Many of the top models integrate with your smartphone. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos on the market. It uses lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has flooring in the kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms and a medium-pile and a large rug. It was capable of driving up to walls and even across raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did a great job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor, and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or carpet.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock adds a deep-cleaning solution for the water. The S1's water tank can hold enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though this will vary depending on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. To do this, you'll need to clean the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. Also, you'll need to clean your sensor and swivel wheel frequently to prevent them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs All-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an effective solution for cleaning. The Ecovacs robot mop vacuum comes with 8,700Pa suction power and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station if required.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, and has a clear interface that guides you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot can't reach. There are two water tanks that can be automatically filled or empty. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that is able to effortlessly remove dirt and other debris that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also decent, but it can get stuck on small mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by defining virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good and include a pair of mop pads that are able to lift and scrub floors, rather than just dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-off maintenance which makes it a strong contender for our best robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is accomplished.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It cleaned the dirtiest places of our tests with ease, avoiding pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that moves out to reach areas that are difficult to reach, and mop pads that run across baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can easily move from one room to another without changing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide distance around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and well-organized. It should be easy to use for novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting and look up 3-D and 2-D maps. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri which allows you to keep an eye on its progress from anywhere. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. However, you will need a stable internet connection to use it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum with mop vacuum can do a fantastic job of picking up debris and dirt, but it can't always reach every last particle of dust. It is important to clean regularly, once a week. This is especially important for dust that collects in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot designed to accomplish exactly that. It is easy to connect it to your WiFI network at home and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is an edgier version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but cuts down on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a lower-cost plastic body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen in this price range, despite not being able to clean your floors. It has a suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic-empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system for hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa power that can take on pet hair and dirt, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested to not have a problem with high-pile area carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising because it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we've tested. It also uses a unique system to map your home, which will allow it to enter corners and tight spaces that other vacuums are unable to reach. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin that means you have empty it less frequently. Additionally, it has washable filters, which reduces the expenses associated with using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction if needed. The app allows you to mark off areas you want to avoid this is a useful feature.
